The Electric Cooperative Youth Tour
Deadline: March 3, 2020
Available to current Juniors/Seniors. Lake Country Power is offering students whose parents are customers of Lake Country Power an opportunity to win a trip to Washington D.C. to attend the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour. The tour involves more than 1,900 high school students from across America who travel to Washington together to learn about electric co-ops, American history, US government and visit national monuments and historical sites. Eveleth/Virginia Masonic Lodge Scholarship
Deadline: February 28, 2020
The Eveleth Masonic Lodge is offering scholarships to Virginia and Eveleth seniors with plans for post-high school education. Applications are available in the counseling office.
Please keep in mind that while the application is due on February 28th, you must request needed information from the counseling office prior to that deadline and turn in completed applications to the counseling office.
Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship Essay Contest
Deadline: February 28, 2020
Eligible to high school seniors. Applicants must write a 1,200 to 1,500 word essay describing the impact Alzheimer’s disease has had on your life. Click here for more information and to submit your essay.
Michigan Tech Iron Range Alumni Scholarship
Deadline: March 1, 2020
Two $500.00 scholarships will be awarded. Applicants must be in the top 1/4 of their class. Applications with full eligibility requirements are available in the counseling office.
Itasca Community College Scholarship
Second Priority Deadline: March 1, 2020
This is a Full-Tuition Presidential Scholarship for high-achieving students. High school seniors planning on attending Itasca Community College who scored 29 or higher on their ACT and have either a 3.8+ GPA or are in the top 10% of their class may apply. Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Deadline: March 3, 2020
Providing scholarships to the children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen attending post–high school, undergraduate, and career technical education programs. Click here for more information on eligibility and to apply.
Deadline: March 15, 2020
Applicants must plan to graduate from high school by June 2020 and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better in grades 9-11, 12th grade 1st semester grades must be 2.5 or better. Applicants must submit a statement from a Title I teacher, principal, or administrator documenting the applicant’s participation for at least one year in a Title I program. Housing First Minnesota Scholarship
Deadline: March 16, 2020
Housing First Minnesota is accepting 2020-21 scholarship applications. The scholarship selections will give priority to those seeking to learn a construction-related trade. This includes carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and others. Click here for more information and to apply online.
Cobell Scholarship Program
Applications are accepted December 15 through March 31 annually for the upcoming academic year.
This program provides scholarships for American Indian and Alaska Native students who are enrolled members of U.S. federally recognized tribes, pursuing vocational, undergraduate, and graduate degrees at nonprofit institutions. Applicants begin by creating a general application profile in OASIS, after which they’re matched to the available scholarship opportunities for which they’re qualified. The Laurence Kleven Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: April 10, 2020
Two $250 scholarships awarded to high school seniors who will be furthering their education. Applicants must reside within the area served by the St. Louis County Agricultural Fair Association and have exhibited at the St. Louis County Fair. Applications are available in the Counseling Office.
Al Church Scholarship
Deadline: April 14, 2020
Applicant must be a child or grandchild of an AFSCME Council 65 or Council 65 Retiree member. Must be enrolled in a college, university, vocational, technical, or trade school in Minnesota or one that has reciprocity with the state of Minnesota. Range Cooperatives & Virginia Coop Credit Union Scholarship
Deadline: April 30, 2020
Available to students currently attending a college or technical college, NOT INCLUDING post-secondary option (PSEO). Applicants must have completed a minimum of one semester with at least 12 credits per semester. Applications are available at the Range Cooperatives Office in Virginia or Ely and the Virginia Coop Credit Union.
Andrew A. Lindberg Memorial Foundation Scholarship Fund
Deadline: June 30, 2020
Scholarship amount is $2,500 per year, renewable for up to 5 years by maintaining a 3.25 Undergraduate GPA and while still satisfying eligibility requirements (sans grade level).
- Must be a resident and High School Senior from a town with a population fewer than 25,000 in the state of Minnesota.
- Must come from an agricultural background rooted in the state of Minnesota, i.e. working on a family farm or working in agricultural service, etc.
- Must have graduated from High School with a GPA of 3.5 or greater and received admittance with incoming freshman status to an accredited physical (not online) education institution beyond the high school level prior to the award date [8/30/2020].
