Burger King ScholarshipDecember 15, 2017 (10 Awards – $50,000)

 

The Rove Pest Control Scholarship is open to seniors seeking a higher education ​upon graduation.  This $500 scholarship can be applied for at: www.rovepestcontrol.com/rove-pest-control-scholarship  ​Deadline:  December 31, 2017.

 

​Applications are open for the ACT Student Champion Award.  This award recognizes one student in each state who is tenacious and persistent, no matter the challenge, and is prepared for life after high school with a goal in mind and plan in place.  ​Students must have a composite ACT score of 22 on a single test date or a 3.0 GPA.  Applications can be found at www.act.org/readinesschampionsDeadline:  December 31, 2017.

 

​SeniorAdvisor.com: Future of Assisted Living Scholarship.  Three $2000 scholarships are available to students enrolled in an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree or graduate level program at an accredited 2 year college or 4 year university.  Each eligible student must submit a 500-750 word essay in response to the question:  How can your major of study improve the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities in your town?  Go to https://www.senioradvisor.com/ind/assisted-living for an application.  Deadline:  December 31, 2017.

High school seniors who demonstrate exceptional leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship are invited to apply for the 2018 GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program. This program provides $10,000 renewable scholarships to student leaders. For an application, go to: reaganfoundation.org/scholarships. Deadline: January 4, 2018.

The Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation manages multiple scholarships available to seniors in our area.  Please visit: http://www.dsacommunityfoundation.com/learn-about-our-scholarships to see what scholarships you may be eligible for you.  A printout is also available in the Counseling Office.  Deadline:  January 15, 2018

 

The Marshall H. and Nellie Alworth Memorial Fund awards scholarships of $20,000 to qualified seniors who will be pursuing majors in Math and Science.  For eligibility information and online application visit:  www.alworthscholarship.org.  Deadline:  January 15, 2018.

 

Juniors:  The Coolidge Scholarship is a full ride scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board and expenses for four years of undergraduate study.  Qualified applicants will be juniors, possess a distinguished academic record, have an interest in public policy, and display a sense of service and care for the well-being of others.  For an application and eligibility information go to coolidgescholars.orgDeadline:  January 24, 2018.

 

The Alpha Kappa Psi Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to high school seniors who have been admitted to the Carlson School of Management at the University of MN.  To be considered for a scholarship or to find out more information, go to:  www.akpsischolarships.orgDeadline:  February 1, 2018.

 

Mediacom Communications is offering fifty five $1000 scholarships through its World Class Scholarship Program.  Applicants must live in areas serviced by Mediacom.  For an application go to www.mediacomworldclass.comDeadline:  February 16, 2018.

The Minnesota Women’s Golf Association (MWGA) Foundation Scholarship is being offered to high school senior girls who are planning to enroll in a four year college program. Applicants must have a 3.2 GPA and demonstrate involvement in golf. For applications, please come to the Counseling Office. Deadline March 31.
