                     PRESCHOOL OPEN HOUSE

      Do you have a 3-yr. or 4-yr. old child? Do you want to enroll your child in our most excellent preschool program? Join us for an open house at Parkview Learning Center, Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 3-5:30 p.m. Come for a fun afternoon of exploring classrooms and meeting with teaching staff. 


     Come to the kindergarten transition night! If your child is about to enter kindergarten, come to hear more about our SUPER kindergarten program at Parkview Learning Center! Staff will be available to answer your questions and you can register your child for kindergarten in the fall. It will be Tuesday, March 10th from 5:00-6:00. Free childcare will be available for children 2-6 years of age. Please call 742-3805 or email to register for childcare. 





Come to the preschool transition night! If your child is about to enter Terrific Three’s or the pre-k classes, come to hear more about our wonderful early childhood program from an early childhood teacher and the coordinator! The date is Tuesday, March 17th from 5:00-6:00 at Parkview Learning Center. This would be a great time to get your questions answered, as well as to register your child for classes. Free childcare will be available by ECFE staff for children 2-6 years of age in the early childhood classroom. Please call 742-3805 or email to register your child(ren) for the childcare.

Winter blahs got your family down? Spring is right around the corner now!!! ECFE spring session 2020 will begin soon! Our spring sessions begin the week of March 9th and run through May 8th. If you would like to join a class, there are some openings. All classes are for mixed ages from birth through pre-k. Please call 742-3805 to find out which classes are open and  then enroll. Avoid cabin fever and get out of the house!




Baby  & Me Class is held on Wednesdays (bimonthly) from 11:30-1:00 at Parkview. These are FREE classes designed for babies from birth to not yet walking and their families! This class includes parent and baby activity time, parent discussion, and time to connect with other parents. Sibling care will be available for older children (through pre-k) in the same classroom (no separation).  You may come to one or all classes and bring a friend with a baby also! ( The next classes will be March 11 & 25, 2020.) To enroll in this class, please call 742-3805 or email We hope to see you and baby there! 

Early Childhood Screening dates for 2019-2020 school year are:  March 13 & 27,  April 3, 17, 24 and  May 15.   Please email to sign up a spot for this required screening before kindergarten or Pre-k. Children 3 1/2 years of age and older are eligible for screening.

  SPRING INTO SHAPE open family gym night and Obstacle Course!!!

Time to get your heart pumping and bodies moving with a fun spring into shape obstacle course & open family gym. A light snack will be available in the cafeteria. The date is Thursday, March 26th 5-6:30 at Parkview Learning Center! All pre-k & ECFE classes, and families in the community with children from birth through 5 are welcome! (Siblings up to age 8 can also come!) Please wear gym shoes. Please NO socks or boots!  




            Parent University 2020 will be a series of FREE speaker nights, focusing on Early Childhood and are geared for parents/caregivers, childcare workers and providers, teachers, and community members. These sessions are on the following  Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Parkview Learning Center. 

Tuesday, March 31st—-PREVENTING PARENT BURNOUT. As a parent/caregiver, you are pulled in many directions and it can be difficult to cope. Come to this presentation to hear Parkview’s school counselor, Kelly Kennedy, tell you ways to prevent parent burnout. 

Tuesday, April 7th—-DEALING WITH CHILDREN’S SENSORY ISSUES AND FINE MOTOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT. Is your child sensitive to sounds, smells, tastes or touch? Come to this presentation to hear Parkview’s occupational therapist, Amanda Claesson, tell you more about sensory processing and learn ways to improve your child’s fine motor skill development. 

Tuesday, April 14th—-FAMILY TECHNOLOGY USE. Your child is growing up immersed in digital media, which has both positive and negative effects on healthy development. Come to this presentation to hear Parkview’s technology teacher, Sam Caddy, help you explore positive ways to use technology tools to develop a family media plan.
